MacDonald, Katanna Amanda Lynn, 20 of Greenwood, Kings Co. passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville on July 28, 1991, she was the daughter of James Clair MacDonald & Wanda Martin. She loved music and was a free spirit. She had a heart of gold and always put others ahead of herself. She loved her family and friends and was always there to help a friend in need. Katanna will be extremely missed by her parents, family and friends. She is survived by her loving parents, mother, Wanda Martin & step father, Trevor Long, Wolfville; father, James Clair MacDonald & step mother, Mary Gibson, Fort St. John, B.C.; brothers, Michael (Jolene) Zwicker, Kentville; James Lee MacDonald, Kentville; stepbrothers, Brett Long, Wolfville; Devan Long, Cape Breton; sister, Jennifer Lynn MacDonald, Kingston; stepsisters, Ambre and Jade Gibson; grandparents, Basil (Cecile) Dodge, Waterville; Judy (Jim) Eldridge, Windsor; Jim MacDonald Sr., Kentville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Katanna was predeceased by her grandmother, Norma (Burns) Henderson. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. A grave side memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Black River Cemetery, Black River. Rev. Mark Shaw officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Katanna to any addictions services foundation or to a charity of one??s choice.
