Vaughan, Mabel Geraldine, 72, of Kentville, Kings Co. went to be with her Lord, Friday, June 22, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Church Lake, Lunenburg Co., she was the daughter of the late Ronald & Erna (Fancey) Nauss, Berwick. She worked for the Town of Wolfville for 18 years, took a 5 year vacation & then worked at Acadia University for 20 years, retiring as Benefits Officer in 2001. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife & friend to all. Mabel was an active member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, serving for many years with the Anglican Cursillo Movement & the Alpha Program. She enjoyed crafts, especially Cross-Stitch projects. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clyde; sisters, Inez (Lewis) Chute; Thelma (Harris) Huntley both of Berwick; & Velma (George) DiBartolo, Edmonton, AB.; she also has a large extended family including in-laws, nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Coldbrook. Visitation will take place from 7-9 pm in St. James Anglican Church upper hall Tuesday, June 26. A memorial service will be held 2:30pm Wednesday in St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Rev. Cathy Pharo officiating. Interment will take place in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, donations in memory may be made to the St. James Anglican Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Michael Wadden & staff at the Valley Regional Hospital and Dr. Liam Mulroy & staff at the Cancer Care Centre, Halifax.
