Collins, Hugh ???Balfour??, 44 of Port Williams, Kings Co. passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 following a long & courageous battle with cancer. Eldest son of Keith & Sylvia (Wolfe) Collins, Balfour was born & grew up in his beloved town of Milton, along the Mersey River, Queens Co. He lived in Montreal, Que. & Edmonton, AB, returning to Nova Scotia in 2007. Balfour attended Concordia University, Montreal & the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton where he studied computer sciences. He was a gentle man who adored his son, Jack & his wife of 15 years, Seana. He was extremely intelligent & creative & was an active member of the N.S. Adult Lego Users Group; family referred to him as ???The Lego King??. Balfour worked as a theatre technician & projectionist, a computer technician & computer programmer at the Astor Theatre, Liverpool; Sandde IMAX Animation Studios, Montreal & the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton. He especially enjoyed family gatherings & spending time with his son & wife. He is survived by his wife, Seana Matthews; son, Jack Balfour both of Port Williams; mother, Sylvia Collins, Milton; father, Keith Collins, Bridgewater; brother, Matthew (Rhonda) Collins & nephew, Beck, Milton. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20th in Milton Community Cemetery, Milton, Queens Co. Rev. David Shaw officiating.
