Vaughan, Clyde Wayne, 73 of Coldbrook (formerly of New Minas), Kings Co. went to be with his Lord on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lockhartville, he was the son of the late James & Leora (Tracey ) Vaughan. He worked for Irving Oil Limited as a burner technician for 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle & a friend to all. He was an active member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, serving for many years with the Anglican Cursillo Movement & the Alpha Program. Clyde enjoyed playing his guitar & brought joy by playing with a group of Christian friends at the VON Adult Day Care & Grand View Manor, Berwick. He had a hobby collecting post cards. He is survived by sisters, Shirley Skipper, Hantsport; Ella (George) Kewley, Wilmot; brothers, Royce (Florence) Vaughan; Eric (Ruth) Vaughan; Leo (Joyce) Vaughan all of Hantsport. He also had a large extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mabel Nauss; sister, Christina Boudreau, Gwen Crane & infant sister, Sylvia; brother, Arthur. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. No visitation by request. The memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 01, 2013 in St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Interment will be held in Garden of Rest, St. James Parish, Kentville. A reception will follow in the church hall. Rev. Cathy Pharo officiating. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the St. James Anglican Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
