White, William Hayes, 80 of Cambridge, Kings Co. passed away at home Saturday, February 23, 2013. Born in Welsford, he was the son of the late Karl & Reta (Hayes) White. Bill enjoyed a varied work life, including farming, real estate & geophysical exploration. He will be remembered for his wonderful singing voice as part of many Valley choirs, quartets & his participation in Acadia??s Summer Playhouse Theatre musicals. In his later life, Bill will be remembered as a well-loved community volunteer, his faith & sense of humour & being an inspiration to others. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; step-son, Michael; children, Brad, Betty Jean, Thomas & Cynthia; grandchildren Kelsey, Megan, Lucas, Emily, Jon, Michael & Brooke; great grandchildren Charlotte & Ryder. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Elizabeth (Betty) Marsters. There will be a grave side ceremony at a later date. The children will be holding an open house at the home of daughter, Betty Jean, 2997 Long Point Rd, Harbourville from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd. Arrangements are under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. Donations may be made to a charity of one??s choice.
