Secord, Anna ???Madeline??, 93 of the Veteran's Unit, Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton formerly of Chipman, N.B. passed away Tuesday, February 01, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Born in Granville Ferry, Anna Co., she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Adelia (Everett) Tabner. She served as a Corporal in The Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War . Madeline was a hairdresser & a homemaker who loved to cook & was active in the Baptist church choir in Chipman, N.B. She loved & enjoyed her grand & great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Snider, Moncton, N.B.; sons, David (Tammy), New Minas; Vernon (Marie), Whitby, Ont.; four grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Adam, Stephen; two great grandchildren, Charles & Finlay. Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Harry Lloyd Secord and a brother, Russell Tabner. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will take place at the North Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. No visitation or flowers by family request.
