Stratten, Barbara Ann, 68 of Cambridge, Kings Co. passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at home. Born in Cambridge, she was a daughter of Frederick & Angeline (Langdale) Comeau. Barbara enjoyed dancing and cards; loved Christmas and spending time with her friends at the Central Kings Cafeteria. She volunteered her time at Central Kings and was devoted to her husband, Ken. Surviving besides her parents are her husband, Ken; son, Frederick (Nancy), Martin River, Lunenburg Co.; sisters, Elaine (Paul) Rousseau, Aylesford; Audrey (Mike) Broderick, Mississauga, Ont.; Virginia Comeau (Gordon Canavan), Vancouver, BC; Carol (Jerry) Goulet, Berwick; brothers, Douglas (Nancy) Comeau, Cambridge; Frank (Marie), Cambridge; Kirk, Vancouver, BC.; many nieces & nephews. Barbara was predeceased by a brother, Fred, a sister, Joyce Ward and a granddaughter, Mary Elaine. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive (Exit 14), Coldbrook. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the Cambridge Baptist Church, Cambridge. Rev. Virginia De Adder officiating. Interment will take place in the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. Following the committal service a reception will be held in the Church Hall. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Barbara maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one??s choice. On line condolences maybe made through www.annapolisvalleyfuneralhome.com
