Obituary of Keith Bennett Humphreys

Humphreys, Keith Bennett, 82 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully surrounded & loved by all family & friends on Sunday Feb. 19, 2011 in Shannex on the Lakes, Dartmouth. He was born, Sept. 04, 1929 the first of 5 children to Benjamin & Emma (Forbes) Humphreys of Pictou. He was an electrician at the shipyards in St. John, N.B. & Halifax. Keith was then employed for 20 years with the Book Bureau of the Nova Scotia Government??s Department of Education. A life long love of music, big bands, jazz & a marching band of the Canadian Army Service Corps brought him pleasure. Keith is survived by his loving brother & sisters, Benjamin ???Buddy??, Dartmouth; sister, Miriam (Dr. George) Travis, Lower Canard; Myrna (Dr. Bayne) Carew, Naples, Florida; sister-in-law, M. Romaine Humphreys, Ilderton, Ont.; nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Jean Irene (Lawlor) & brother, Gerald. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. Interment will take place at a later date.
