Smith, Wilfred Edward, 79 of Gaspereau, Kings Co. passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Gaspereau, he was the son of the late Raymond & Beatrice (Fletcher) Smith. He was a retired carpenter and the last surviving member of his immediate family. Wilfred is survived by his wife, Kathleen ???Kay?? (Keddy); daughters, Jaunita (Michael) Doyle, Greenfield; Pat Smith (David Little), Wolfville; son, Timothy (Gayle) Smith, Gaspereau Mountain; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Doyle (Dan MacInnes); Stephanie Smith (Ryan Devou); Ryan Smith (Sasha Jones) and Tracy Smith; great grandchildren, Ani, Annaya, Chloe, Carson, Lily; nieces, Linda, Adeline, Debbie, Rebecca, Belinda, Pam and Jackie; nephew, Roger. He was predeceased by brothers, Raymond (Buzz); William (Bill) and James; sister, Estell. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook. There will be no visitation by request. Graveside memorial service & interment will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23 in the Davidson Cemetery, Black River. Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Family flowers only.
