Thompson, Hilary, 65, of North Alton, Kings Co.,passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday , February 10, 2009. Born in Yorkshire, England she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ena (Ironmonger) Allen. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; her sons, Gareth (Lisa), Dauphin, Manitoba; Gawen (Sarah), Toronto, Ont.; daughter, Katharine (Brian) Markham, Ont.; grandchildren :Liam, Claire, Owen and Camryn. Hilary was a dedicated teacher, a wonderful partner and a loving mother. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. No visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14 in St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Rev. Archdeacon Lynn Uzans officiating. A reception will follow in the upper hall of the church. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church.
