Dempsey, Patricia Ann, of Morden, Kings Co. It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their wife, mother and grandmother, at home at the age of 68. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph and Ruby Elizabeth (Cutler) Gommer. Patricia first and foremost loved her family, she also enjoyed the outdoors, 4-wheeling, camping, fishing, quilting and dancing. She will be greatly missed. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Edwin, three daughters, Ruth (Brian) Watson of Windsor Junction; Cathy (Bill) Skinner of Hammond Plains; and Sherry Dempsey of Windsor: four sons, Mark (Nancy) of East Dalhousie; James Jr. of Morden; Ronald (Christina) of Sackville; Stephen (Amanda) of Sackville; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by brothers, Eric, Albert, and Mike, a sister, Ruby Elizabeth Gommer and in infancy Jack Joseph, and James Gommer. Visitation will be held 7-9pm on Tuesday in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, (Exit 14) Coldbrook. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in St Anthony??s Roman Catholic Church , Berwick. Fr. Shawn Cahill officiating. Interment will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only, donations in memory to the Nova Scotia Diabetic Association or charity of choice.
