Johnson, Daniel Anthony, 74 of Wilmot, Annapolis Co. passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Born in Windsor, Ont he was a son of the late Edmond Thomas & Ivy Louise (Hessman) Johnson. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 & his career expanded 30 years, retiring in 1981 as a flight engineer. During his time with the Air Force, Dan travelled the world several times. His commitment to his community was reflected in Dan??s being Captain of the Neighborhood Watch. He was an avid golfer and a horseman. Surviving are his wife, the former Sheila MacGregor; son, Robert, Wilmot; daughters, Dani Sue (Mario) Beaudet, Halifax; their children Simon and Methieu; Sherry (Dany) Levesque, Cold Lake, Alberta; their children, Lauren and Steven; brothers, William, Robert and Roger; sisters, Barbara and Carol. Dan was predeceased by sister, Leona and brother, Bruce. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. Private family memorial will take place Monday, July 13, 2009. Interment at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in his memory may be made to the local SPCA or the Humane Society.
