Obituary of Stewart Murphy

Murphy, Stewart Dean???79, of Berwick, Kings Co. passed away Friday, September 25th 2009 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late James and Jennie (Kirk) Murphy. Stewart worked for many years at the Berwick Bakery and then was employed at the Kings County Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville. He loved all sports, but especially baseball & hockey. Stewart is survived by his loving wife, H. Jean (Doherty); children: Judy (Martin) Cudmore of Aylesford, James of Morristown, David (Marg) of Wilmot, Marlene (David) Tupper of Lake Paul, Kings Co., and Barbara (Mark) MacDonald of Morristown; eight grandchildren & one great granddaughter and also surviving is sister in law: Marj Murphy. He was predeceased by one sister: Margaret Ogilvie, and two brothers: Jack & Hartley. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. (679-2822). A family graveside service will be held at 1:00p.m. Tuesday September 29th 2009 from the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick. Rev. Marilyn Rose will be officiating. A reception will follow in the South Berwick Community Centre, South Berwick, where everyone is welcome for a time of fellowship & refreshments. No flowers by request.
