Mills, Lloyd Wilson "Red" - 67 of Halls Harbour Kings Co. passed away peacefully Friday, November 6th 2009 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his loving family by his side. Born in Milton, Queens County. He was a son of the late Ivan & Ruth (Wolfe) Mills. Lloyd was a firefighter with the Royal Canadian Air Force & the Canadian Forces for 27 years, where he served in Germany and across Canada. He enjoyed hunting & fishing. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Elaine in which he cared for & loved for 40 years; three daughters: Bernice Wilson of Thunder Bay, Ontario; Wendy (Steve) Rethy of Dartmouth & Janice (Brian) Hodgkinson of Dartmouth; one brother: Robert (Merna) of Truro; five grandchildren: Sheena-dawn, Karson, Brittany, Krystal & Jasmine; three great grandchildren: Charlie, Gab-reall & Kendra. He was predeceased by one brother: Barry. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9p.m. this evening (Monday) and where the Kentville Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will hold a tribute service at 7:30p.m. both from the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. (679-2822). A Memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. Tuesday November 10th 2009 from the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. Rev. Gerald Zinck assisted by Rev. Michael Shreve will be officiating. Family interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. A reception will follow at the Centreville Community Hall where everyone is welcome for a time of fellowship & refreshments. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division.
