Sherman, MacCallum Grant, of Berwick, Kings Co. passed away peacefully on April 9th, one week before his 83rd birthday. Born on April 16, 1927, in West Palm Beach, Florida to Canadian parents, Grant S. Sherman and Jessie A. (MacCallum) Sherman. In his early years, he and his family moved to Shelburne and later to Liverpool. He attended Kings Collegiate in Windsor from the age of nine to twelve. At age seventeen he joined the army as a ???Boy Soldier?? (Canadian Technical Training Corps) in 1944. After marrying the love of his life, Pat M. (Hill), he went on to have successful careers in the Dept. of Fisheries and then as a Public Health Inspector. Upon moving to Berwick, Mac became a proud member of the Berwick & District Volunteer Fire Dept.. Mac is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia; their children, Barbara (Richard) LeBlanc, Yarmouth; Ruth, Berwick; Andrew (Pat), Aylesford; Stephanie (Larry) Morse, Berwick; and special daughter, Danielle, Auburn. He was a loving grampie to Sarah, Joshua, Jessica, Zachary, Abigail and Arielle; great grandchildren, Danny and Sawyer. Dad??s unconditional love for his family will be terribly missed. His presence in our lives has been a blessing for which we will always be grateful. Happy flights, Dad ! Funeral arrangements are under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday from Christ Church Anglican, Berwick. Rev. Charles Bull officiating. A reception to follow in the Berwick Fire Hall & then interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Somerset. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Mac may be made to Christ Church Anglican or to the Berwick Fire Dept. On line condolences may be made through www.annapolisvalleyfuneralhome.com
