Bezanson, Murray Robert- 69, of Berwick, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Born in New Ross, he was the son of the late Otis and Bertha Veinot. Survived by his loving wife, Linda (Conrad) Bezanson; four children, Suzanne (Rod) McMahon, Kentville; Robert (Cindy), Whitby; David (Krista), Halifax; Allan (Jennifer), Coldbrook; 9 grandchildren, Katelyn, Zachary, Oliver, Irelande, Matthew, Megan, Thomas, Anna and Luke, and one sister, Rita (Eugene) Creaser, Lunenburg. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Ivan and Clayton Bezanson. Murray started his career in sales with Olivetti Office Equipment and later joined Pitney Bowes, which took him and his family to St. John??s, Newfoundland, Hampton, New Brunswick, and Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. After leaving Pitney Bowes he moved to Berwick and started a family business B&B Paper Plus, which his family continues to run today. Murray was an active member in every community that he lived in. He was a founding member of Jaycees in Hampton, NB, member of the Hampton Curling Club, former president and member of the Berwick Curling Club, former member of the Kentville Rotary Club, former member of the board of Directors and audit committee for the Valley Credit Union, member of the board of directors for the Annapolis Valley Housing Authority and former Berwick Town Councilor. Murray also known as Grampa or Gramps adored his family, in particular his grandchildren and cherished their time together. He had a great zest for life, a generous nature and positive outlook on life that will be forever missed. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm Friday, April 30, 2010 in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook (Exit 14). The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Berwick United Church. Rev. Linda Winton officiating. A reception to follow in the church. At a later date, Murray??s ashes will be scattered over the shore on Second Peninsula, where he spent much memorable time with family and friends at the cottage and on his boat. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
