Barnaby, Albert Chester-70 of Windsor, passed away Thursday May 6, 2010 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Meadowview, Kings Co., he was the son of the late Jerry & Nora (Huntley) Barnaby. Albert worked with Don Wallace Construction & R.W. DeWolfe Ltd. for several years. He enjoyed buying & selling cars and also enjoyed doing carpenter work. Albert is survived by his wife: Frances (Gilkes); four sons: Edmund of Windsor, Donald of Windsor, Steve of Gaspereau Mountain & Calvin of Montreal, Quebec; two daughters: Cathy (Justin) Spencer of New Minas & Karen (Robert) Butler of Wolfville; four brothers: Lorne of Waterville, Walter of Waterville, Harold ???Tim?? (Jeanette) of Windsor & Eddie (Lillian) of Mount Denson; one sister: Shirley Smith of Windsor; numerous grandchildren and nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by one brother: Gordon & one sister: Betty. No visitation by family request. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook (Exit 14). A private family memorial service will be held 2:00p.m. Tuesday May 11, 2010 from the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Albert may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
