Grovestine Charles Gerald ???Jeff?? CD2, 80 of Hall Rd. Aylesford, Kings Co. passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late Charles & Mary Louise (Miller) Grovestine. Jeff served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He was a great lover of hunting, fishing & all sports. In recent years his favourite pastime was enjoying a coffee with friends at Tim Horton??s. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #98, Kingston. Jeff is survived by his wife of 54 years, Agnes (Mowry); daughter, Cindy Anne Grovestine, Burlington, Ont.; sons, Michael Joseph, Windsor, N.S.; Jeffrey Edward (Anastasia), Burlington, Ont.; 2 granddaughters, Dimitra & Alexa; sisters, Hope Langille, Halifax; Myrna Grovestine (Nichols), Vancouver, B.C. Jeff was predeceased by sisters, Mary Lou & Connie; brothers, Cyril, Donald, Roger & Floyd. Cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. No visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23 in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 98, Kingston. Rev. Herbin Townsend officiating. A recepton will follow the service in the hall. Interment will take place in the Union Cemetery, Aylesford. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
