Casey, Alberta Gertrude - 85, 9857 Main Street, Canning, pased away Sunday, February 12, 2006, in Valley Regional Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Bryant and Alberta (Thorpe) MacDonald. Alberta enjoyed knitting and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Freeman; daughters, Diane (Robert) Sherman of Canning; Theresa Casey of Kentville; son, Robert (Stella) MacLean of Woodville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Schofield of Halls Harbour; Jean Crandall of New Minas. She was predeceased by brother, William MacDonald; sister, MaryDunham and twuin sister, Amy Spencer. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. Funeral servicewill be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Canning United Baptist Church, Canning. Pastor Phil Locke and Pastor Bill Patterson officiating. Interment will be in Hillaton Cemetery, Hillaton. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook (902-679-2822).
