Spurr, Marjorie Cecelia, 82 of 13 Park Lane, Bridgetown, formerly of Granville Ferry, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at her home. Born in Granville Beach, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Laura (Hubley) Orde. Marjorie was an active member of St. James Anglican Church and the ACW. She was a member and Past Noble Grand of Valley Rose #126, Rebekah Lodge. She was a avid quilter and a strong supporter of many health related charities. Surviving are sons: Raymond (Pat), Lawrencetown, Halifax Co.; David (Jeanie), Bridgetown; daughter Lorraine (Alvah) Titus, Wisconsin, USA; grandchildren: Tammy, Paul, Derek, Michael and Sonya; sister: Geraldine Sarty, Granville Beach and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Irvin, brothers: Ralph, Ward and Darrell and sisters: Grace and Doris. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2005, from St. James Anglican Church, Bridgetown followed by a reception in the church hall. Rev. Douglas Chard officiating. Private family interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Annapolis Royal at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the VON, Annapolis County Branch; St. James Anglican Church or a charity of choice. The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those individuals who provided special care and support to their mother during the past number of months.
