Martin, Jessie Irene Lavinia, 77, of Melanson passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday, October 08, 2006 at home in Melanson. Born in New Minas, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Janet Irene (Bishop) Forsyth. Jessie enjoyed her family and friends. She was a member of the Gems and Jewels Seniors Club in Gaspereau. She was an avid bowler, card player and bingo player. She is survived by daughters: Janet (John) Herbin, Melanson, Barbara Martin, Melanson, son: Murray (Kathy) Martin, Kentville, 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) McCarron, Michael (Ginette Boudreau) Herbin, Joshua Herbin. Joseph, Luke and Seth Martin, brothers: George (Gi) Forsyth, Greenwich, Bradford (Joy) Forsyth, Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex, a son, Charles and brother, Gordon Shaw. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. A celebration of life for Jessie will be held from 7-9 pm. Thursday, Oct. 12, in the Melanson Community Hall. No flowers by family request. Donations in Jessie's memory maybe made to the Palliative Care of the Victorian Order of Nurses c/o Lillian Cochrane Palliative Care Co-Ordinator, 46 Chipman Dr., R.R. # 1 Kentville, N.S.
