Obituary of Jessie Irene Martin

Martin, Jessie Irene Lavinia, 77, of Melanson passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday, October 08, 2006 at home in Melanson. Born in New Minas, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Janet Irene (Bishop) Forsyth. Jessie enjoyed her family and friends. She was a member of the Gems and Jewels Seniors Club in Gaspereau. She was an avid bowler, card player and bingo player. She is survived by daughters: Janet (John) Herbin, Melanson, Barbara Martin, Melanson, son: Murray (Kathy) Martin, Kentville, 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) McCarron, Michael (Ginette Boudreau) Herbin, Joshua Herbin. Joseph, Luke and Seth Martin, brothers: George (Gi) Forsyth, Greenwich, Bradford (Joy) Forsyth, Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex, a son, Charles and brother, Gordon Shaw. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. A celebration of life for Jessie will be held from 7-9 pm. Thursday, Oct. 12, in the Melanson Community Hall. No flowers by family request.
