Redden, Arthur Gordon, 71, of North Alton passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007 at his home. Born in North Alton, he was a son of the late Gordon and Nora (Hiltz) Redden. Arthur graduated as an associate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Truro in May 1956. After graduation he went to work at the Research Station in Kentville from where he retired after some 35 years. Arthur was a resident of North Alton his entire life where he was active in the North Alton Baptist Church community. He is survived by a daughter, Pamala Redden of Windsor; sisters: Rita Lloyd and Eileen Wamboldt both of Canaan; Lucy (Youke) Pietersma of Petawawa, Ont. / Florida; brother, Ralph (Alice) of New Minas and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive,(Exit 14) Coldbrook .Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the North Alton Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Zinck and Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Cremation will follow with interment in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill at a later date. A reception will be in the church hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley Regional Hospital or the North Alton Baptist Church.
