Wagner, Elizabeth Julia (Betty), 77 years old of Cambridge, N.S. It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Julia Wagner (nee Brown) on February 18, 2007. Betty, as she was known by her friends, will be remembered as a gentle lady with a beautiful smile. Betty loved going to card games,bingo and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She made lots of mittens for children at the Coldbrook and District School. She belonged to the Apple Valley Senior Club, operated Betty??s Canteen in Deep Brook and worked at C.F.B. Cornwallis. She is survived by her husband, Leslie, of 58 years; son ,Wayne (Jackie), Salisbury, N.B.; daughter, Sheila (Gerald) Porter, Fredericton, N.B., son ,Roger (Donna), Kentville, N.S.; grandchildren: Tracy (Doug) Sears and Paul Wagner all of Salisbury, N.B.; David Wagner, Bermuda; Michelle (Tony) Mazerolle and Scott (Sharon) Porter all of Fredericton, N.B. ; Stacey Wagner of Cambridge, N.S. She was very proud of her three great grandchildren: Grant and Andrew Mazerolle and Haleigh Sears. Betty is survived by sisters: Pauline Robar, Annapolis Royal; Joyce Hearn, Kentville; Jean Fisher, Springhill; Rose (Lloyd) Beal, Ontario and brother Kenneth (Rosalee) Brown, Ontario; sisters-in-law : Dorothy Stark, Digby; Blanche Hewey, Deep Brook; Mabel Wagner, Greenland, N.S. and several nieces, nephews and cousins .She was predeceased by infant daughter, Linda, mother Eunice, father, Carrol Brown; brother, Vernon; sister ,Peggy Riley and an infant grand daughter, Elizabeth. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr.,Coldbrook No visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 21st in the Cambridge United Baptist Church, Cambridge. Rev. Dr. Judith Saunders will officiate. Interment will take place in the Clementsvale Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
