The family of Rosalie Alma Forsyth, 83, of Coldbrook are sad to announce her passing very peacefully at Grand View Manor, Berwick, on April 1, 2007. Born in the Forties, Lunenburg Co., on August 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Minard and Jennie (Bezanson) Hiltz. "Family, friends, cooking and hard work was the foundation of her life." She was a mother and grandmother to many for 55 years. She worked beside her husband, Jim, on the "Forsyth Homestead" She was a long time supporter of the Women??s Institute and a proud member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Rose is survived by her son Brian Douglas (Stephanie) Forsyth, Coldbrook and two special granddaughters, Alexa and Tiffany. She is also survived by her brother Minard and (Ida) Hiltz, New Ross. She was predeceased by her husband James, sisters: Hattie, Nellie and Stella, brothers: Stacey, Spencer, Harry and Dan. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5th at St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Rev. Archdeacon Lynn Uzans officiating. Reception to follow at St. James Church Hall. Private interment will be in the family plot at the Berwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grandview Manor, Berwick or the St. James Anglican Church, Kentville.
