Balsor, Harry Gordon - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Father and Grandfather on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at home in Kentville. Born in 1912 in Black Rock, he was the son of the late Archibald and Marion (Foote) Balsor. He was a retired railroad engineer for the D.A.R., Kentville for 35 years. He was also the owner of Balsor & Son Construction for many years, building many houses in Kings County. His greatest love was his family. Always putting others first, he offered a helping hand to anyone in need. He is survived by son Gerald,(Violet) of Upper Dyke, daughters Marjorie (Doug) Fitch, of Lakeville Marie Corbin (Ed Dykens), of South Williamston grandchildren Steven Balsor, Kim Kozoriz, Alan Balsor, Terry Kee, Randy Kee, Debra Longley, Darlene Stott, Darren Fitch, and Angela Plater, and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ida Gould, and brothers Vance, Earle, and Myles. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Alice (Graves), daughter Marion, grandson Gerald Eugene, brothers Frank and George, and sisters Louise Brown and Vivian Schnare . Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2007, 6:30-8:30 p.m at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook. Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Centerville Baptist Church. Reverend Marc Potvin officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of one??s choice. Online condolences may be made through www.annapolisvalleyfuneralhome.com
