Roefs, Anthony Francis (Frank), 76 of Cambridge, Kings Co. passed away peacefully surrounded by family, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, N.S. on Monday, November 26, 2007. Born in Beeken Donk, Holland, he immigrated to Canada in 1951. He lived in Boston for 6 years before moving to the Annapolis Valley in 1975. He was a diesel mechanic in Boston and in the Valley. Frank was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Wolfville, where he was a Cantor. He was also a member of the Cursillo movement in the Valley. Surviving are sisters: Regien Sommers, Lancaster, Ont.; Mary (Frank) Beks, Hawkesbury, Ont.; Josephine (Peter) Peters, Cornwall, Ont.; Tina Smolenaars, Kentville; brothers: John (Anna Mae) Roefs, Berwick; Anthony (Dolores) Roefs, Cambridge. Frank was predeceased by brother, Harry; sister, Nelly; parents, Henry & Anna Roefs; brother in law, Jerry Smolenaars. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. and prayers at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday both in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (Exit 14), Coldbrook. Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28th in St. Joseph??s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. Rev. Father Craig Christenson officiating. Reception to follow service in the church hall. Private family intermnet in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Child Care International.
