Griffin, Julia Justine, 78, of 13 Brow of Mountain Road, Halls Harbour, Kings Co. passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at home. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Harold & Agnes (Shay) Weatherbee. Julia was a homemaker who loved her family, her home, flowers and gardening. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Laurie; daughters: Jo-Anne Griffin-Sampson (Darrel), Antigonish; Brenda Griffin (Jim) Halls Harbour; Joy Louise Ward (Donald), Nicholsville; son: Laurie "Skip" Milton (Tobie), Millville; grandson, Bradford (Kristen) Port Williams; grandchildren: Owen, Michelle, Shannon and Erin; great grandchildren: George and Maisy; nephews: Rick, Wesley and Gary Laird; brothers: Clarence (Mary) ; Ronald (Donna) all of Wolfville ; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Sonny; sister, Rosie and a nephew, Greg. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by family request. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 14 at 4:00 p.m. in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr.(Exit 14), Coldbrook. Rev. Marc Potvin officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Fox Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
