O??Flaherty, Robert Anthony Douglas, 66 of Digby, N.S. passed away, with his family at his side, in the V.G. site QE II , Halifax on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 12:15 p.m. Born in Verdun, Quebec, he was the son of the late Roy & Violet (Laming) Flaherty. He loved his family, friends, all children and animals. Robert is survived by his brother, Roy; his former wife, Diane; his children, Ross, Colleen and Karen; their spouses and his grandchildren: Mitchell and Danielle; Erin, Allison and Aiden; Emily and Connor. Also surviving him are his favourite nieces: Gail, Donna and Rosemary; nephew, Patrick and numerous other well loved nieces and nephews. Best friends Andy & Helen will also be grieving with us. Robert was predeceased by his brothers: Phillip & Fred. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 12-2 p.m. Sunday both in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (Exit 14), Coldbrook. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday from the Culloden Baptist Church, Culloden, Digby Co. Pastor Nathan Waterman officiating. Interment in Culloden Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert??s memory may be made to any children??s charity. On line condolences may be made through www.annapolisvalleyfuneralhome.com
