Obituary of Margaret Annie Smith

Margaret Annie Smith-67 passed away at Tideview Terrace, Digby on December 12, 2013 in the loving presence of her caregivers at Teeweeden House. Born in Digby on December 29, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Alden and Alda (Woodman) Smith. Margaret left Digby in 1964 to work in Ottawa. She was employed by The Bay, but returned home in later years to care for both of her parents. Margaret’s dearest love were her dogs, Samantha and Goldie, whom she spoiled with loving kindness. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Alden and Alda, sister Mary Lou (Thomas); brothers Carl (Albina), Terry (Donna). Survived by her nephew Gary Salter and his wife Valerie; also by several cousins. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2:00pm from the Hill Grove United Baptist Church with Rev. Julia Howard and Rev. Donald Robertson officiating. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Animal Shelter, Middle Cross Road. No flowers by request.
