Barb was predeceased by her father Gerald Miller and sister Gail in infancy.
Barb was a valued employs of Lawtons Drug Store for 36 years in various capacities, front store manager and most recently merchandiser up until her official retirement in 2012. She made many lifelong friends during these years that she cherished to the end. She enjoyed spending her time with her many friends, attending dog shows with her girl Tilly. Mom also loved to travel, whether it be as close as PE, yearly trips to Florida with Jack and Carol or a road trip to wherever, she loved them all the same. She was lucky enough to have traveled across Canada, parts of Europe, Caribbean and the US.
A very special thank you to moms best friends for the past 30 years, Carol and Jack Carroll, for their unwavering love and support. They did not hesitate to take the role as care givers, making sure mom was able to stay at home and comfortable during her illness. We can never thank them enough for everything they have done.
Also, thank you to all of moms friends, for always being there for her especially during her illness.
Thank you to Dr. Jacqueline Cloney, Dr. Jeyakumar, medical oncology, oncology nurse, Darlene, palliative care nurse Susan Parrot, RJF continuing care, VON and VON Debbie Townsend. Your care and compassion for mom was very much appreciated.
Keeping with moms wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Donations can be made in Barbs name to Dalhousie Medical Research or Canadian Cancer Society.
