Obituary of John Sweeney

Sweeney, John Jack Deforest age 83 years of Port Lorne / Mountain Lea Lodge; passed away peacefully at his residence on January 3rd, 2014.
Born in Berwick on October 23rd, 1930; he was the son of the late Albert and Bessie (Minnis) Sweeney.
Jack was a highly respected welder, machinist and millwright. He was a gentle man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, the great outdoors and storytelling.
He was predeceased by his first wife Nuala (Walsh) and is survived by his family from that first union Deborah, Kevin , Sean and their families.
Also survived by his loving wife of 53 years Helen (Coleman); son Jamie (Lenore) and daughters Kelly (Jim) York and Jill (Elgie) Taylor; grandchildren Caleb, Quintin, Kyle and Jason; special great grandchildren Dameon, Annie May and Joseph Sweeney; also by sister Mary Daniels.
In keeping with Jacks wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date.
In memory of Jack, donations made to the Mountain Lea Lodge or the Breakfast / Lunch program of Bridgetown Regional Elementary School would be appreciated by his family.
