Obituary of Joyce Marie Adams

Adams, Joyce Marie – 80, It is with a heavy heart that the family of Joyce Marie Adams of Digby announce that she passed away peacefully at the QEII in Halifax on Monday, January 13, 2014. Born in Digby on April 26, 1933 to Titus and Susie (Amero) Nash, Joyce was employed as the restaurant manager at House of Wong for 26 years before hosting a seniors boarding home in Digby. Joyce was a caring, generous and loving soul who put her family front and centre each and every day. She cherished holidays and birthdays spent surrounded by all of those that she loved. Left with fond and loving memories are daughter Bonnie Adams (Larry) of Digby; sons Fred (Char) of British Columbia, Rodney (Eleanor), Glen (Ruth), Gordie (Ruth), Robert (Crystal) Ron “Co” and Stephen all of Digby; son in law Bill Willman; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart and special family member Faye Hartlen. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Titus and Susie; daughter Shirley Adams Willman; special grandson Mark Adams; brothers Harley Nash, Wilfred Nash; sisters Val McKendry, Susan Nash, Verda Joudrey, June McComb. Keeping with Joyce's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2pm from the Digby Wesleyan Church (84 Victoria Street, Digby) with Rev. Andrew C Maves officiating.
