Obituary of Bernice Mary Baltzer

Baltzer, Bernice Mary (Petty) – age 98 years of Black Rock, passed away at the Grandview Manor on April 10, 2014. Born in Woodville on April 29, 1915; she was the daughter of the late Tom and Ada (Kirk) Petty. Bernice was a member of the Wesley-Knox United Church in Woodville, member of the OES Evangeline Chapter #15 in Kentville where she was past worthy matron. Survived by her sons Mawson (Shirley) of Woodville and Boyd of Berwick; daughter Linda Carr (James) of Kingston; sister Elizabeth Nelson of Amherst; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Elder V. Baltzer; granddaughter Mary-Lynn Baltzer; sisters Hazel Foote and Rose Dixon; brothers in law Henry Foote and Laurie Nelson. Visitation to take place from 2-4pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel; from where the funeral service will follow at 2pm on Monday, April 14, 2014 with Rev. Bruce Lumsden officiating. Interment in the East Black Rock Cemetery.
