Walsh, Mabel Josephine age 87 years of Waterville, passed away on Sunday April 20, 2014 at Halifax Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Quinan Yarmouth County, on November 1, 1926; she was a daughter of the late Theophile and Marie (Frotten) Muise.
Mabel worked for many years in the kitchen at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by daughters Esther Webster (Bernie) of Berwick, Margaret Walsh of Riverview, NB, Janet Patterson (Michael) of Riverview, NB; brothers Walter (Jean) of Yarmouth, Elmer (Bev) of Sydney, George (Jeanne), of Quebec; sisters, Madeline Vacon, Marjorie (Fred) Muise both of Yarmouth, Irene (Edmond) Surette of Eel Brook, Yarmouth Co., Joanne (Frank) Pretty of Courtice, NL; grandchildren Lisa Landsburg (Craig), Michelle Legere (Marc) and Marianne Patterson (Andy Plewis); great grandchildren Cassandra and Alexa Landsburg, Claire and Nathaniel Legere, Georgia and Charles Plewis; also by special friend, Anna May Scotney.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband Chester Walsh; brother Stanley; sister Florence Muise; grandson David Doucette; brother in law Theodore Vacon.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday April 24th from the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel.
The funeral mass will be held at 2pm on Friday April 25th at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 122 Mill St, Berwick. Interment to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville.
Donations in memory of Mabel made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of NS or the NS Heart and Stoke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
