Obituary of Lawrence Bedford Croft

Croft, Lawrence Bedford age 88 years of Mountain Lea Lodge and formerly of Gaspereau; passed away peacefully at his residence on April 21, 2014 with family by his side. Born in Wolfville on January 15, 1926; he was the son of the late Ross and Maude (Schofield) Croft.
Lawrence was employed as a truck driver with Rafuse Home Hardware for 41 years. He loved to garden and make wood crafts; above all his greatest pleasure was spending time with his large family.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Larry (Nancy Piercy), George (Dorothy), Donald (Barb) and Rose Boylan (John); stepsons Cecil Walsh and Robert Walsh (Diane Baker); stepdaughters Elizabeth Laloned (Robert), Marjorie Pinch (Harry), Margaret Rafuse (Merton) and Ann Brown (Laurie); sisters Shirley Walsh, Doris Creamer (David) and Betty Spencer; also by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his loving wife Freda (Walsh); son Bedford Croft; brother Basil Croft; stepdaughters Laura Becker and Edith Croft; step grandchildren Wendy Levy, Ann Levy, Bonita Spencer, Linda Gauthier and Frederick Spencer; step great grandson Daniel Gallant.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a visitation at the Gaspereau Baptist Church on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 12-2pm; from where the memorial service will commence at 2pm with Rev. Mark Shaw officiating. Burial to take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lawrence made to the Gaspereau Baptist Church or the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia.
