Obituary of Renée Carmen Louise Gimenez

Gimenez, Renee – 86, of Wolfville, passed away in the village of Greenwich on May 12, 2014. Born in Le Havre France, on April 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Marie Gimenez of France and Spain. Renee was a Professor at Acadia University from the time she immigrated to Canada with her husband Frank Ledwidge and three children. For many years the highlight of her year was her summer trip to France to visit family and friends. Renee is survived by sons, Peter (Ann) and Marc (Cindy Anderson); daughter, Virginie Ledwidge-Webster; sister, Maite Bonnet of Grenoble France; grandchildren; Nicolas, Christopher, Peter Webster and Marc and Emilie Ledwidge; several nieces and nephews, all of France, UK and Australia. There is no visitation by family request. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 118 Main St., Wolfville at 10 am Saturday May 17th followed by burial in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Wolfville Ridge, Father Craig Cameron officiating.
