Finley, Fred William 84, of Morden, passed away suddenly Sunday May 18, 2014 at his home. Born in Morden, he was a son of the late Fred and Amanda (Dukeshire) Finley. Fred worked as an accomplished carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed fishing and wood working. Fred is survived by his wife of 58 yrs, Lucy (Proctor) Finley; sons, Eric (Louise), Larry (Margaret); daughters, Janice Stride, Judith (Brian) Chisholm, Susan (Michael) Richardson; brothers, Hugh, Lloyd (Betty); grandchildren, Morgan & Emily Stride, Luke & Scott Finley, Ian, Jillian & Brianna Chisholm, David & Lee Richardson, Cindy Hansen, Colleen (Matthew) Fudge; six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday May 22nd at Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial St., Berwick (902-538-9900) where a memorial service will be held Friday May 23rd at 2 p.m. Rev. Herbin Townsend officiating. A reception will follow in the Morden Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
