Jeans, Warren F. – (1918-2014) passed away peacefully Thursday May 29th at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville with his children by his side. Born in Halifax, Warren was the only son of the late Harry & Josephine (Murphy) Jeans. He was educated in Halifax and graduated from Halifax Business Academy in 1939. He took up employment with the Robert Simpson Eastern Company, later Sears and retired from Sears in 1979. He served with the R.C.O.C,. 1942-1946, was a Staff Sergeant in charge of R&I in Halifax. In 1954 he managed the conversion of the Sears Manual Systems, then the computer division until 1977. He spent the last two years in the Human Resources Department of Sears. Warren enjoyed woodworking, sailing and golf and after retirement enjoyed 28 years of winter at his home in Brooksville Florida. During his retirement years he lived at Argyle Shore, P.E.I., Leamington, Ontario, Halifax and finally in Kentville, NS. Warren would always say he was a “Jack of all trades, Master of none”. The people who knew him, know that he was much more than that. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene (Donald) Routledge; sons, Greg (Wendy) and Calvin (LaVerne); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; step children, Lorraine and Blair. Warren was predeceased by his first wife, Idella Louise (Palmer); his second wife, Edna A. (McNiven); sisters, Beulah Murdock and Marjorie Douglas. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook Chapel (902-679-2822). A private interment will take place at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
