Obituary of Kenneth Trevor McCann
Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
McCann, Kenneth T. - Ken joined us on January 9, 1962 and left us to mourn on May 30, 2014 after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. Ken was son to Pauline and Bill; brother to Christine, Annette, Elizabeth and Matthew; brother in law to Perry and Rob; awesome uncle to Myles and Luke; loving partner to Kathy and devoted companion to feline friend LB.
Kens early years were spent in Mt. Uniacke where he honed his athletic abilities on the rocky fields and frozen rinks of Hants County. Educated at Windsor Regional High School, Ken went on to study at Acadia University and NSCC where he realized his love of learning and of teaching. Ken worked at a variety of jobs before finding his true calling in retail. At the time of his passing, Ken was employed with Canadian Tire in Sackville where he leaves behind a troupe of devoted friends who feel his void every day. Although a homebody by nature, Ken did enjoy traveling and forever treasured his trips to Jamaica with Kathy. Ken loved sports and could always be counted on to know the standings of all the teams and sports he followed. In his later years Ken was mostly an armchair athlete with the exception of golf. Ken will be sadly missed on the links by his golf buddies Reid, Glen and Terry. We will miss Kens wry wit and excellent sense of humor every day. Blessed to be loved by many, Ken will be missed by all.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A time of remembrance for family and friends will be held at the Mt. Uniacke Fire Hall (654 Highway #1)on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6:30-8:30pm. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2pm from the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Wolfville Chapel with reception to follow.

....When I'm old and wise,
bitter words mean little to me,
autumn winds will blow right through me,
and someday in the mist of time,
when they asked me if I knew you,
I'd smile and say you were a friend of mine.
Ant to those I leave behind, I want you all to know
You've always shared my darkest hours
I'll miss you when I go
