Obituary of Frederick Blanchard Huntley

Huntley, Frederick Blanchard age 89 years of Centre Burlington, Hants Co, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014 at the Hants Community Hospital.
Fred worked on the family farm in Poplar Grove and at lumber camps for Norman Spence in the winter. In 1956 he started working at the Fundy Gypsum Company, Miller's Creek, while continuing to farm his home property in Centre Burlington.
He enjoyed traveling extensively; going to the community card parties, and working with his team of Percherons. He especially enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren growing up.
He was the eldest son of the late William and Edna (Hunter) Huntley. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Grace (Blair) Huntley; children Fred (Gail), Bill (Sandra), Colin (Cathy), Colleen (Dick) Terfry, Beth Huntley-Bourassa, Scott (Sandra), Todd (Elaine); 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother Gilmore (Kitty) and sister Emma DeVenney. Predeceased by his sister Margaret.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the kindness and care they extended to Fred and his family.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Fred made to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.
