William Victor Brown (Vic) Aged 80 Kingston, Nova Scotia Vic passed peacefully at home on Friday July 4th surrounded by family. Born in Winnipeg he was the son of the late William and Jessie Brown. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Theresa (Terry) daughter Debbie (Woodstock Ont.), son Chris (Kingston N.S.) and Ron and wife Susan (Winnipeg MB.). Vic was very proud of his four grandsons , Brad (wife Rachel), Warren, Brett, Matthew and his great grandson Blake. Predeceased by his sisters Billy and Rae. He is survived by sisters Shirley (Simcoe Ont.), Peggy (Oakville Ont.) and brother Jim (Winnipeg MB.) Vic and Terry were married in 1954 at the same time as he started his 23 year career as a firefighter in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After retiring from military service Vic began his second career in 1975 working as a safety and fire inspector for 20 years with Grain Insurance and Guarantee. Vic and Terry retired in 1995 to the Annapolis Valley. Vic enjoyed family life, golfing at Paragon and spending time on the Fundy shore. One of his favorite things to do was to take his many visitors to watch the whales off of Brier Island. After major surgery in 2002 Vic faced his many health challenges with the same resilience he utilized during his working life. The family wishes to thank the many health professionals from the Valley Regional Health Centre who helped us immensely over the past twelve years. A private family service will be held on Wednesday July 9th. Following the service friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Vic's life at the family home in Kingston from 1 - 3 p.m. Donations in Vic's memory can be made to Cancer Care Nova Scotia.
