Obituary of Annie Elizabeth Maddock

Maddock, Annie Elizabeth "Betty" - age 94 years of Wolfville Elms and formerly of Corner Brook, NL; passed away July 5, 2014 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Buckie, Scotland on May 16, 1920; she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Meikle. She was a elementary school teacher, war bride, member of the CWL and WWII veteran. Survived by son Dave (Debbie) Maddock of Kentvile; daughters in law Linda Maddock of Kelligrews, NL and Bernice Maddock of Stephenville, NL; grandchildren Blair, Dawn, Jennifer, Colin, Ian and Michael; and by 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband John; sons William and John; brothers William and John; granddaughter Katie Maddock. No visitation or service by request. Donations in memory of Annie made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by her family. Burial to take place in the Wildcove Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL at a later date. The Maddock family would like to thank the management and staff of the Wolfville Elms for their kindness and support during Betty's stay as a residence.
