Obituary of Mary Ellen Vidito

Vidito, Mary Ellen – 75, Upper Vaughan, Hants Co, N.S., died July 20th in Hants Community Hospital. Born in Baxter’s Harbour, Kings Co., Mary was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cora (Parrish) Brewster. She worked for a number of years as a personal care worker and later in life alongside her husband as distributors of the Chronicle Herald. Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed trout fishing, the outdoors and all of nature. Mom had a great love of animals – dogs in particular. She also enjoyed a good game of auction 45’s and it was the women’s card group that gave her the most enjoyment these past few years. Even as she became weary after her long struggle with her illness, laughter and cries of “Slam for game” were the highlights of her week. She is survived by loving sons, Eric (Jeanette), Hammonds Plains; Wayne, Halifax; sister, Lottie Woodworth, Hantsport; brother, Kenneth Brewster, Baxter’s Harbour and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Robert; sisters, Mae, Carol, Trillis and brothers, Maynard, Leslie, Gerald. Funeral service will be held July 27, 2014 - 2pm at Upper Vaughan Baptist Church. Private family interment will at Riverbank Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to the Windsor SPCA or an animal charity of your choice.
