Ward, Leonard Crane age 79 years of Whites Corner, passed away at the QEII in Halifax on July 22, 2014. Born in Wolfville on October 15, 1934; he was the son of the late Borden and Edith (Crane) Ward.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Eleanor (Coleman); sons Larry, Michael of Kentville and Leslie (Kim Shand) of Hinton, AB; daughter Louise (Mike) Carter of Kentville; step-children Patricia (Edwin Vandertuin) of Spirit River, AB, Anthony (Jan) Fredericks of Waterville and Adrian (Bonnie) Fredericks of Greenwood; brothers Merrill (Connie), Ed (Joyce), Fred and Murray (Faye); sisters Donna (Buddy) Crandall, Marion (Steve) Harris and Mary Lake; grandchildren Erin and Michelle Carter, Abigail and Lane Ward; step grandchildren Jazz Fredericks, Stephanie (Jim) Saucier of Cold Lake, AB, Sarah Sampson of Port Williams, Nick Dill, Sam Dill, Tyler Dill and Stevie Fredericks; step great grandchildren Shelby and Bentley Saucier, Rye Sampson-Kenneally and his special little girl and best friend Bella.
Leonard was predeceased by his first wife Lorraine (Norton).
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private family interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Black Rock Baptist Church, 1248 Russia Rd, Berwick, NS B0P1E0.
