Walsh, Alden Iverson – age 85 of Kentville, passed away peacefully August 4, 2014. Born in Weston, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Clinton and Edith (Farris) Walsh. A veteran of the Korean War, Alden served from 1949 - 1957, then went on to work at Sears for over 20 years. He loved to travel and toured the countryside frequently. He also had a love for all sports and watched them whenever possible. He is survived by sisters, Doris Walsh of New Minas, Bernice Lloyd of Kentville, and Lorraine Sewards of Kentville. He was predeceased by his brother Donald and his faithful four legged side-kick, Pipi. In keeping with Alden’s wishes there will be a private family visitation Thursday morning, followed by a graveside service at the Elmgrove Cemetery on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 1pm officiated by Reverend Virginia DeAdder. Family flowers only by request, donation in memory of Alden may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook Chapel (679-2822). Online condolences are available at serenitylindsayfuneralhome.ca.
