Obituary of Marline Florence Thurber

Thurber, Marline Florence (Rudge) – Age 75 of Freeport, passed away suddenly at home on August 3, 2014. She grew up in Lower Sackville and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Hildred Rudge. Marline is survived by her loving husband Clifton; brothers, Robert, Wayne, Eddie, Albert, Herbert Jr. (Snookie) and dear friend Mary (John) Herget. She will be greatly missed by her children; Clifton Jr. (Laurie), Wendy (Gordie), Heather (Glendon) and Robert (Wendy); 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Linda Campbell and Barb Romo; brother in law, Winston (Soupie) Campbell and sister in law, Barb Rudge. Marline was an avid reader, could stretch Christmas into a three month event, made the best chocolate chip banana cookie, enjoyed playing cards, listening to her music, rug hooking and keeping in touch with family and friends but always found time to cook for every community event that she could. Her family was her heart and soul and her home was always open for family and friends to gather. An intimate ceremony to celebrate her life will be held August 3, 2015 at the Brookside Cemetery.
