I met Ed while doing genealogy and he was always ready to share his findings. His work on the Pineo Family was a great help to me and others. I will miss the fact that when I go back to Kentville to do more research, I will miss seeing him again. My deepest condolences to his family

Generations of Beatties have known Ed, and he was especially grateful to Mary & George, when they came to his aid, after his barn fire. The community kids so enjoyed coasting on the hill, on his property, which was later sold to the Dept. of Highways for the #101 exit in Berwick. Bruce & I loved our Windermere house/property and were grateful he agreed to have us as neighbours. The letter he sent to Joyce and her sons & family, following the death of their dear James, was so thoughtfully written; Bruce was proud to read it at his dad's funeral. Despite being eccentric, he had a good heart and meant well. Parkinson's is a "robber" of one's body and, over the years, it took its toll. May he now have found peace. <3

I really liked Ed. About 30+ years ago, my then husband was a "picker" and we saw Ed at auctions and at his home in South Berwick. He had a lovely tombstone in his front room. Ed was a great guy, In later years I saw him at Kings County Historical Society events and in the genealogy room. Ed had a delightful sense of humour. A year or two ago I saw him at Orchard Court. Ed contributed to the lives of adopted people by helping them find their families of origin. Great guy, Ed. I'm glad I knew Ed.
