Bennett, Wendell Verdon age 66 years of Somerset, passed away on August 26, 2014 at the Valley Regional Hospital.
Born on September 7, 1947 in Canning; he was the son of Chester and Myrtle (Corkum) Bennett. He worked as a mechanic and autobody repair at Martin Service Station in Sheffield Mills (1968-1978). From there he went to work at Graves (Coby Foods) in Aylesford as a farm machinery mechanic until 1988. Having the autobody bug still in him, he moved on to Baltzers Equipment where he worked in the autobody shop until 1998. He rounded out the latter part of his working career as a mechanic again for Avon Foods and DHL as a delivery driver. He certainly didnt mind being busy. He had a passion and admiration for antique cars and after a long search, he found himself buying one. He and his wife enjoyed car cruises with the Downeast Classic Car Club. He served as Vice-President for 2 years and always enjoyed the cruises and car shows.
