Mosher, Donald Leslie of Windsor, passed away peacefully in his 81st year on September 28, 2014 at the Hants Community Hospital.
Born on October 7, 1932 in Ste. Croix; he was the oldest son of the late James and Margaret Jean (Redden) Mosher.
Donald retired from NS Power 22 years ago and made his home in Upper Vaughan, later moving to Edgehill Estates in Windsor where he spent the last nine years.
Surviving are his daughters Vonda Lee (Ross Bayley) of Petawawa, ON and Janet Diane Mosher of Alliston, ON; grandchildren Cody Montgomery (Diana) of Greenwood, Jordan Dowling (Ryan) of NYC, Justin Mosher (Amanda) of Alliston, ON; two great grandchildren Mykaila and Callum and a third great grandchild on the way; sisters Eileen Wilson of Hantsport, Audrey Crowell of Bishopville; brother Dennis (Pearl) of Upper Vaughan; uncle Royston Redden of Halifax; also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by the mother of his children Frances Whelan ; son Jeffery Owen Mosher; sisters Edith Marie and Margaret Rose; brothers Aubrey Reid and Walter Frederick; brothers in law George Wilson, Laurie Crowell and sister in law June Mosher.
In keeping with Dons wishes cremation has taken place and there will be visitation on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 1pm from the Ste. Croix United Church, from where the funeral service will be held at 2pm with Lic Sue Reid officiating. Private family interment in the Ste. Croix Cemetery.
Family flowers only please; in lieu of flowers donations in memory of Don made to the Ste. Croix United Church or Palliative Care unit at the Hants Community Hospital would be greatly appreciated by his family.
