Price, John Robinson “Jack” - 86, passed away peacefully at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, Nova Scotia on October 11, 2014. He was born on October 9, 1928 on Hillside Farm in Lockhartville, Nova Scotia to Alma (Labrie) and William Price. Jack worked hard all his life. To his father, he was Jack-be-nimble; to his friends and family he was Jack-of-all-trades, Papa Jack and Steeple-Jack. He went to sea on the Gypsum King, worked in Mutual Life and ran his businesses, Jack’s Autobody Shop and Swimland. He settled with his wife, Pauline, in Hants Border where they raised their family and built their dream home on the hill – the house that Jack built. He loved riding his Harley, and building his projects: his custom Meteor convertible, the “Housemobile”, the steeple on the Hantsport Baptist Church, and his “ship’s cabin”. He will be remembered for recitations of poems, songs and stories, his devotion to the church and love for the Lord.
